About the Speaker

Dr. Dennis Kuo is a third generation pediatrician and Pediatrics Fellow at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr. Kuo received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and a Master of Health Science degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He completed pediatrics residency at the University of North Carolina, served as a practicing pediatrician, and was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at New York Medical College.
Dr. Kuo’s interests include parent education, trust in the physician-patient relationship, care for children with chronic illnesses, and child health advocacy. He has appeared on CBS Marketwatch, the Baltimore Sun, and in the New York Times on a variety of child health topics. Dr. Kuo is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Ambulatory Pediatric Association, American Public Health Association, and AcademyHealth.
Dr. Kuo was selected one of the Young Pediatric Leaders for the 21st Century by the Pediatric Leadership Alliance. His research has been published in several peer-reviewed publications, and his work has been recognized by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Kuo lives in Maryland with his wife, two energetic young daughters, and a small white furry dog.
