About the Speaker

Dr. Nancy Hueppchen is a dedicated mother and the Director of several clinical programs at Johns Hopkins Hospital and medical school, including the High Risk Obstetrics service and the Maternal Transport Program. She introduces about 200 medical students each year to the field of obstetrics and women’s health. She is also the Director of Perinatal Outreach in the Johns Hopkins Birthing Center and works with complex pregnancies as a maternal-fetal medicine specialist.
A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dr. Hueppchen received her medical degree from the Mercer University School of Medicine, and completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Naval Medical Center. She is board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. After a post-doctoral fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Johns Hopkins, she completed her tour of duty in the United States Navy and joined the faculty at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in 2002.
