Father William J. Byron , S.J., Ph.D.
The Inner Life of the Praying Soul Is a Precious Wonder to Behold. Explore One of God’s Greatest Gifts With This Touching New Series from Father William Byron, S.J.
What is prayer? It is a raising of minds and hearts to God that is public and communal—the very living breath of the universal Church—and yet as deeply personal as an intimate conversation with a close friend, "heart speaking to heart," as the Venerable John Henry Newman might say.
Prayer is an act of love and trust between immortal souls and the Lord who made them. It is one of the greatest gifts you can give or receive. Why not make the absolute most of it you possibly can?
Learn How Prayer Can Enrich Your Life
This is not a course in the history or theology of prayer, but rather a series of inspiring and yet practical reflections for Christians or others who wish to enjoy lives more fully enhanced by God’s precious blessing of prayer.
Available exclusively from Now You Know Media, these 12 talks represent the distilled essence of a Catholic pastor, author, and educator’s lifelong mission to help himself and others bring prayer into daily experience, as a way of suffusing life with gratitude to the Creator whose gift life is.
Gain Insights Inspired by Scripture, Informed by Theology, Confirmed by Experience
Sharing insights inspired by Scripture and theology as well as by some of the extraordinary people he has met through his ministry, Father Byron explores the different styles and aims of prayer: Prayer as thanksgiving, prayer as petition, prayer as praise, prayer as a process of learning to cultivate the presence of Divine Love in our lives.
Each has its time and place, and Father Byron explores these too, often through moving anecdotes concerning friends who have taught him lessons along the way about the constant renewal of faith, hope, and love that prayer can bring to the whole array of anyone’s life situations.
You as much as anyone else are invited to share in that renewal.
So why not join Father Byron on this journey toward making personal prayer a richer part of your life, in all its seasons and circumstances?
