About Your Presenter

John F. Baldovin, S.J. has been teaching in university and seminary settings for the past 28 years. He is currently Professor of Historical and Liturgical Theology at the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry. He has taught at Fordham University and the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley. Fr. Baldovin worked with the International Commission on English in the Liturgy (ICEL) from 1994-2002. He is past president of the North American Academy of Liturgy and the international ecumenical Societas Liturgica. He is currently president of the International Jungmann Society for Jesuits and the Liturgy.

His most recent books are Bread of Life, Cup of Salvation: Understanding the Mass (Rowman and Littlefield, 2003) and Reforming the Liturgy: A Response to the Critics(Liturgical Press, 2008).

About Your Presenter

Reverend Monsignor Michael Kevin Magee, S.S.L., S.T.D., S.T.L. is currently chair of the Systematic Theology department as well as associate professor of Systematic Theology and Sacred Scripture at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Pennsylvania. Msgr. Magee earned his Bachelor’s degree at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in 1984. In 1991, he was ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia after earning his M.Div and M.A. at the Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary. From 1998 to 2007, Msgr. Magee served as an Official at the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments in Rome. Msgr. Magee has written several articles, including “From the Bible to the Lectionary of the Holy Mass: Norms and Principles” and “Preparation for the New English Translation of the Roman Missal”.
