About Your Presenter

Joseph Tetlow, S.J. is the director of Montserrat Jesuit Retreat House, where he gives retreats, workshops, and writes. He spent several years in Rome as head of the Jesuit General's Secretariat for Ignatian Spirituality, guiding the efforts of 250 Jesuit retreat houses. He was also a professor of Theology at St. Louis University and an associate editor of America Magazine. He has served on the Board of Directors of SLU, the University of Seattle, and Harvard's Institute for Educational Management.

Fr. Tetlow has written numerous articles and books. Among them are Ignatius Loyola: Spiritual Exercises, Choosing Christ in the World, Making Choices in Christ, and a commentary on the full cycle of Sunday readings in America.

About Your Presenter

Lyn Holley Doucet, M.Ed, M.S. is Director of Spiritual Formation at Our Lady of the Oaks Jesuit Retreat House in Grand Coteau, Louisiana, where she directs Ignatian retreats and works with priests and laity in the area of the Spiritual Exercises. She is both a Spiritual Director, trained in the Jesuit tradition, and a counselor. She holds a M.Ed. and a M.A. in Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

She has spent time as a grief counselor at Hospice of Acadiana and works with the Diocese of Lafayette in helping those who are grieving. Lyn is an active retreat director and speaker throughout the south.

She has published five books, and is the winner of a Catholic Press Award. She has other books available from Crossroad Publishing and St. Anthony Messenger Press. Her earlier career was spent as a teacher. She led a liturgical ensemble in her home parish for many years.

She is on the national board of Theresians International, a thriving Catholic women’s organization, where she served as their first spiritual director. She was recently honored by this organization as a Woman of Vision. Lyn has been married for 39 years and she and her husband have one son, Jacques.
